Rod Fraser, Co-founder and Chairman
Rod Fraser co-founded Fraser Steel in 1970 with his father, Don Fraser, in response to emerging demand from OEMs for cut-to-length tubing, bar and wire. The father-son team had one cutting machine, a few customers, and a big vision. Under their shared leadership, the company grew rapidly through the 1980s – a credit to Rod’s focus on customer relationships and next-generation technology. When Don retired in 1978, Rod became president – a title he bestowed on Baxter Stephenson in 2005. Rod is known as a visionary leader who approaches work, and life, with inexhaustible passion. Fluent in Spanish, he is an international traveler, aviator, and accomplished sportsman.
