Five S Facility
Fraser Steel is proud to be a Five S facility. That means it’s committed to the Kaizen system of continuous improvement – a key component of lean manufacturing. The Five S program improves efficiency, safely and quality by adopting five steps:
- Sort – the first step in getting things cleaned up and organized
- Set in Order – organize, identify and arrange everything in a work area
- Shine – regularly clean and maintain
- Standardize – make the work area easy to maintain by simplifying and standardizing
- Sustain – maintain what has been accomplished
RoHS-Compliance
To protect the safety of consumers around the globe, Fraser Steel is also a RoHS-compliant facility. It follows the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive, which restricts the use of six hazardous materials (including lead, mercury and cadmium) commonly used in the manufacture of electrical equipment.
