About Fraser Steel
The SWAT Team of Tubing
Simply stated, Fraser Steel attracts the best people in the industry. This recognized “SWAT team of tubing” has an uncanny ability to adapt to change without jeopardizing the company’s core values. That adaptability shows up in the engineering design stage and on the production floor. It’s evident in the firm’s forward-thinking investment in new technology. And it manifests itself in the staff’s whatever-it-takes approach to satisfying customers.
Central U.S. Location
Fraser Steel is located in Albertville, Minnesota – 20 miles northwest of Minneapolis on I-94 and minutes from major cross-county transportation routes. This strategic location is a big advantage to customers with demanding delivery and distribution requirements.
Highly Efficient Production & Logistics
The 55,000-square-foot design and fabrication facility has nearly two dozen major work centers. In a normal year, they produce more than 2,000 unique items. Some 200,000 parts per day roll off these production centers into Fraser Steel’s “grocery store” logistics staging area.
Bullish Approach to Capital Investments
Fraser Steel prides itself on anticipating new technology, and being the first in the industry to get it on the production floor. This bullish approach to capital investments reflects the company’s business mantra: “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”
As part of its commitment to staying ahead of the industry, Fraser has invested more than $10 million in capital equipment and technology over the last five years. Its latest acquisition is a large-capacity, rotary-draw bender. This “big bender” can bend large pieces of round and square tubing as well as solid steel bars that are too big for most fabricators to handle in-house.
All Things Tubular
Fraser Steel partners with OEMs in virtually any industrial or consumer market that uses tubes. It does whatever it takes to help customers resolve an engineering dilemma, redesign a component, perfect an assembly process, or meet a tight delivery deadline.
Commitment to Customer Satisfaction
Fraser Steel’s commitment to customer service is best captured by its vision statement:
"… To provide unwavering dedication to our customers' needs, making their products more successful."
